Biography

Shobha Kumari is a dedicated educationist and social worker whose life journey is a powerful story of struggle, courage, and inspiration. She was born in a small village named Hemnarayachak, Gauri, in Nalanda district of Bihar, into a poor family. Despite limited resources and challenging circumstances, she never allowed her dreams to fade. From a young age, she learned the values of hard work, sacrifice, and self-reliance. She completed her Matriculation in 2007 from Project Girls High School, Chandi, Nalanda (Bihar), securing second division. Despite financial difficulties, her determination toward education remained strong. She went on to complete her Intermediate in 2009 and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in 2014, both in first division from Magadh Mahavidyalaya, Chandi, Nalanda (Bihar). In 2010, Shobha Kumari married Mr. Rakesh Kumar. Even after marriage, she continued her studies with unwavering determination. With the strong support and encouragement of her husband and family, she successfully balanced household responsibilities, the care of two children, and her educational goals. Her journey proves that marriage and motherhood are not barriers, but stepping stones toward success. Driven by her passion for education, she earned her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Social Science in 2017 from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She further completed her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in 2021 from IIMT University, Ganga Nagar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and later achieved her Master of Arts (M.A.) in 2023 from Mewar University, Rajasthan. In 2025, she became associated with Desh Sewa NGO and has been working as its Managing Trustee. Through this organization, she is actively working for the development, education, and empowerment of poor and underprivileged children, striving to give them better opportunities and a brighter future. As a learner, educator, mother, and social worker, Shobha Kumari’s life is an inspiration, especially for women from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds. Her story conveys a powerful message: with determination, education, and family support, even the most difficult circumstances can be transformed into success.
